Latitude Festival 2011

Latitude Festival
Thursday 14 – Saturday 16 July 2011
Henham Park, Southwold, Suffolk

For three nights during this year’s festival, Forest Fringe will transform Latitude’s literary salon into a place of unlikely hidden encounters, each curated by a different Forest Fringe artist.

Thursday – Tinned Fingers present The Crystal Maze of Love

An interactive, completely original, performance experience for one person at a time. A journey through a series of heart-felt moments, ranging from the small and intimate to the bizarre and extraordinary.

Friday – Brian Lobel presents Cruising For Art

Pick up a handkerchief which will become your ticket to Cruising for Art, a series of the various one-on-one performances by some of London’s leading performers. If you see someone with a matching handkerchief, eye contact, a smile, your wink may start a wild journey, a tender moment or an intimate conversation.

Saturday – Andy Field and Laura McDermott present Eponymous

invited to Eponymous, a recreation of the entire festival in a single tent on one breathless night. All the bands will be here. There will be DJs and dancing and cheering. There will probably be rain and felafel burgers. Drunk teenagers and street theatre and grass stains and technicolour sheep. Friends will get lost and phones will not have any signal. Birds will fall quietly out of the sky. All this will be remade by you in a tent full of props, music and little else.
