I wish I always knew exactly what to say. It'd save me a lot of embarrassment.
Yolanda captures the humour in moving from Canada to England, Ireland, France and Russia -with a stop-over in Italy - in a piece about culture and communication. From Parisians who refuse to speak French, to Russians who only speak hockey, she shows that when language barriers go up, other barriers come down.
Katie will titillate the audience with the tale of a dame who has always let her moves do the talking. Now she needs to talk her way into the good books to save her soul.
Katie and Yolanda met on the Royal Court's Young Writers Program, and began The Crimson Poets who are also performing at the Fringe.
