Wondermart (A Rotozaza Production by Silvia Mercuriali, Matt Rudkin and Tommaso Perego)

Wondermart is an interactive audio tour that takes you on a magical journey of rediscovery through the familiar surroundings of the supermarket. Wearing headphones and anonymous behind your trolley, you are guided around the aisles, immersed in a private soundscape.
The real blurs with the imaginary, and the every day setting of the 'high-density retail environment' becomes the scene of strange adventures.
Please come prepared to leave cash or a form of ID as a deposit for your headset.
There are three ways to do Wondermart:
1. Go in person to Forest Fringe, Bristo Place, EH1 1EY or The Arches, St Stephen Street,
Edinburgh, EH3 5AB and hire an mp3 player. NB. You must leave a deposit of a mobile phone or £30.
2. Take your own mp3 player to Forest Fringe or the Arches, upload the track and experience Wondermart in your own time at one of the supermarkets on our map. NB. You must bring the USB connector for your mp3 player. Most mp3 players will be compatible, including PC-enabled Ipods. However if your Ipod is synched with a MAC, you will be unable to download the track at Forest and will need to follow step 3 below.
