This spring we’re testing our wings. Following another delightful summer in Edinburgh we’re heading out into the world to explore some new ways of bringing the collaborative and adventurous energy of our festival programme to new places and new audiences. We’ve been working with some incredibly exciting new partners nationally and internationally to create two exciting new Forest Fringe projects for Spring 2012.

In February we’re off to Portugal for our first ever International Microfestival, an incredible, eclectic programme of performances and theatrical experiments created with Culturgest in Lisbon. Then in April we’re heading to London’s prestigious Gate Theatre in Notting Hill for a fortnight-long residency headlined by Dan Canham and Chris Thorpe.

We hope that both will prove to be the first of many similar future projects, creating exciting new contexts in which to discover some of the UK’s most imaginative and unusual artists.

    Action-Hero---Watch-Me-Fall---Toby-Farrow

Watch Me Fall is a performance about daredevils. We tell our audience that we’re going over in a barrel, hitting the ramp at 90mph and clearing 10 double-decker buses, and we’re not stopping until every last sonofabitch in the place is cheering us on.
